Bertrand Blier's film "Femmes Fatales" a/k/a
"Calmos" - A very funny and outrageous sex
comedy by one of the great French film-
makers. Still groundbreaking after all these

Constantly surprising and hilarious.
Blier's take on the war between men and
women is fresh and original and probably as
valid and illuminating as any scholarly analy-
sis of the battle of the sexes only much, much
funnier.
Calmos appears to begin in our world, but
surrealistic flourishes eventually start to rear
their heads as the movie rolls forward, such
as a sequence where the two tiny protago-
nists walk through a (giant) woman's vagina.
